Yes , we have a lot of problems

On education , Our schools are full of illegals and anchor babies , the study of choice is "chicano studies" , This is a career choice that DOES NOT PAY, Which employer outside of la raza or maldef has opportunities for someone with a degree in chicano studies

Sadly we are turning away from a nation of rocket scientists and becoming a nation of "victims"

AirborneSapper7, certainly the world situation and that of the U.S. are both getting worse and worse, as they have been for the past 40 or 50 years, or maybe even since the end of WWII.

It seems to cost two persons their sustenance here for one person to lift himself up by his bootstraps there. For the first time in nearly a thousand years, things are looking up for the peasants in China and Vietnam, but at what price to the laborers in the U.S., Mexico, Honduras, Taiwan, Thailand, Pakistan, and even Bangladesh?

The revolutionary Soviet puppet regime in Cuba has almost died out, but are we somehow better off with a proxy for the Mos|em mad moolahs of Iran in Venezuela?

The European financiers have been getting richer and richer, after they lost their revenue from the colonies in 1776, but the virtually insolvent U.S. has to bail out Europe's failing economies through the IMF?

For the first time, the desert Bedouins of Saudi Arabia have the opportunity to emerge from the ninth century, but at the same time, how increases the threat to blow Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and Haifa back to the stone age?

"If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable." - I Corinthians 15:19

But this life in this world is not all there is. It's not even the main event, just a warm-up act. The groaning and gut-wrenching pains of a world in turmoil are the birth pangs of emergence into an eternal dwelling place, either in heaven for those who follow Jesus, or, for those who will not, in hell with the devil and his angels.
