I’ll be the first to state that America is the best country in the world, bar none. I can understand why other people WANT to come here. But without strict control over how many people we accept as residents, and their ability to be immediate, self-sufficient, contributing members of our American society, we are doomed to suffer ultimate collapse as a nation, in effect becoming a carbon copy of the countries from which these potential immigrants fled.



Newt Gingrich recently said he had a plan to address the illegal alien problem, which sounds exactly like 'AMNESTY' to me, whether he uses the term or not. He very well may have come up with the ideal plan to get the Republican nomination and squeeze out enough electoral votes to win the White House. His position favoring leniency toward illegals coupled with his big tough talk about immigration reform is a fantastic mix of ‘feel good’ legislation and hot air promises, a masterpiece for any politician!

In a nutshell his position would grant ILLEGALS the right to stay in America IF they meet certain tests. I don’t know what dictionary he used in school, but for a man who is as bright as he is, how can he NOT define this as anything BUT amnesty?



His plan is a fence-sitting half-assed answer to the problem. His approach is nothing less than a complete sell-out of the American Rule Of Law, a violation of the Constitution, and a blatant slap in the face to not just every native-born American, but also those Immigrants that followed the proper procedures to be admitted LEGALLY!

His position can only be designed for one thing -- TO LOCK IN THE HISPANIC VOTE and GAIN THE WHITE HOUSE!

And when you compare his starting position of granting legal presence to anyone who snunk over the border in the dead of the night to the unconstitutional executive order of Hussein, the closet muslim pretender president, of forbidding the prosecution and deportation of 90% of illegals I SEE NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO!





Don’t give me the crap, yes CRAP, that his position stems from his honest and heartfelt humanitarian concerns by not separating families if they meet certain conditions. I DON’T BUY IT!





If Newt Gingrich (or any candidate from either side) were truly serious about the illegals problem, a starting point for ANY meaningful legislation requires that THE ILLEGAL MUST LEAVE AMERICA!

How can it be justified to consider granting LEGAL STATUS to anyone whose very step on American soil was a CRIMINAL ACT? IT CAN'T! Else why have ANY laws? A law is a given statement of what someone must, or must not do. It sure as HELL ISN’T A SUGGESTION, to be followed only when it’s convenient, or set aside (as in this case) because a politician desires votes from the very group of people who have broken it!



Consider the following as a beginning for any meaningful corrective action regarding the ILLEGAL ALIEN INVASION:



FOR ANY ILLEGAL 18 YEARS OLD OR OLDER: First and foremost a strict LIFETIME ban on ANY Federal benefits, such as Social Security, SSI, SSD, Food Stamps, Unemployment, Medicare, Medicaid, and/or ANY other Federally subsidized program, give-away, or entitlement. SSI & Medicare payroll contributions already paid into these systems would be forfeit, and accrue to the benefit of the United States in enforcing and administering the Immigration Laws. We’re talking BILLIONS here!

Their first act upon stepping on American soil was a CRIMINAL act. No mitigation possible. Any ILLEGAL having applied for or accepted any of the above benefits is automatically banned from consideration for legal status for their lifetime. Fingerprints and/or DNA samples to be taken prior to deportation to enforce this ban.



Any adult ILLEGAL wanting legal status and having been here over 20 years in total, must meet all the following tests to successfully apply for legal status:



has filed federal and state tax returns for each year as required by the IRS and state income guidelines for any state listed as a residence;

is current with their total tax obligations;

has not been convicted of a felony or serious misdemeanor in this or any other country;

can demonstrate the immediate ability to be self supporting, productive members of American society.



By being here over 20 years they would gain preferential treatment on their application, BUT THEY MUST LEAVE AMERICA to be eligible, and follow to the letter all requirements to gain successful entry.



ANY ADULT ILLEGAL HERE LESS THAN 20 YEARS would face a 10 year ban on applying for lawful entry, unless having applied for or received assistance as listed above, in which case the lifetime ban would apply, again THEY MUST LEAVE AMERICA to be eligible.



ANY MINOR ILLEGAL CHILDREN would have the right to remain as citizens in the custody of a LEGAL family member or LEGAL sponsor (you see, we would honor the rule of law that confers citizenship if born on American soil). Any minor child NOT born on American soil would be subject to deportation UNLESS ONE PARENT WAS A CITIZEN AT THE TIME OF THE CHILD’S BIRTH.



ANY ILLEGAL CURRENTLY INCARCERATED would be deported immediately following the completion of their sentence, with the costs of jailing them paid for by sanctions against their country of origin.



MANDATORY USE OF E-VERIFY, or such other systems as they become available, by ALL employers to prove the legal status of an applicant or sub-contractor before hire, with mandatory fines and imprisonment for failure to comply. It must also be used to verify any person or contractor hired within the past 20 years to root out deeply buried ILLEGALS.



STRENGTHENING OF OUR BORDERS coupled with the completion of the southern border fence, and immediate deportation of any violators, paid for by U.S. sanctions against their country of origin. Repeat violators would be jailed for a mandatory 10 year prison term then deported, again paid for by their country of origin through U.S. sanctions.



VOTER VERIFICATION tied to the E-Verify system to insure the integrity of the voting process and to prevent the casting of votes by anyone not legally present and so verified.



AN AMENDMENT TO THE CONSTITUTION introduced which would eliminate the 'ANCHOR BABY' loophole, requiring ONE PARENT to be a LEGAL CITIZEN in order to confer citizenship to a child born on American soil.



Do I sound harsh? Absolutely. Harsh measures are needed NOW.



Are these steps critical to the continued survival of America? Without a doubt, if we are to survive as a nation.



Would the administration and costs to implement and maintain these measures be expensive? Surely, but nowhere near as costly as the damage to our economy or the threat to our National Identity.



By continuing to ignore the invasion of our country by ILLEGALS we surely doom America to collapse from within.

NOT TRUE THEY HAVE NO RIGHT TO CLAIM CITIZENSHIP IF THEIR PARENTS ARE CITIZENS OF ANOTHER COUNTRY. IF A FOREIGN DIPLOMAT HAS A CHILD IN THIS COUNTRY, DOESN"T MEAN HIS CHILD IS AN AMERICAN CITIZEN. THEY SHOULDN'T BECOME CITIZENS IN ANY CASE, BECAUSE THEIR PARENTS BROKE THE LAW TO GET HERE. WHY SHOUOLD THEIR CHILDREN BENEFIT FROM ILLEGAL ACTIVITY.
