The Mexican government announced today that it plans to fight Tuesday's execution of a Mexican man known as the "Railroad Killer" based on the argument that he is mentally unstable.
Foreign Relations Secretary Luis Ernesto Derbez has sent a letter to the Texas parole board opposing the execution by injection of 46-year-old Angel Maturino Resendiz.
Resendiz's defense lawyers have said is mentally unfit because he allegedly believes he is half human and half angel.
The Foreign Relations Department also is preparing legal protests against the execution.
Resendiz was convicted of the rape-slaying of Houston physician Claudia Benton, who was killed in her home a week before Christmas in 1998. Resendiz also has been linked to eight slayings in Texas, two each in Illinois and Florida, and one each in Kentucky, California and Georgia.
He became known as the "railroad killer" because he hopped on freight trains and committed random acts of carnage around the U.S. His crimes put him on FBI's Ten Most Wanted list.
A Texas judge ruled this week that Resendiz was mentally competent to be executed.Support our FIGHT AGAINST illegal immigration & Amnesty by joining our E-mail Alerts at http://eepurl.com/cktGTn

Oh great, lets' see, so I suppose anyone can go around and rape and kill fifteen people and get off if they just say they are half angel, nice. Way to go Mexico. I don't suppose you idiots would pay the bill for his life incarceration if you do succeed in getting his execution halted. Nah, I didn't think so. You just want to export your killers and rapists to our country then have us reap the terror and of course we pick up the tab. And Bush calls them our friendly neighbors.

Of course he's mentally unstable. Dugh? Anyone that does this sort of thing is obviously deranged. It's not the same as a mentally handicapped person with like down syndrom or something. He's just evil and let the sparks fly!

Well, since he is half angel. We can send him back from where he came. Spare me. I'm sure the Catholics have already been out there investigating the dogma of that claim.
Oh spare me. This guy had enough smarts to evade cops. They knew who he was and it took them some time to capture him. I think he killed someone else while they were hunting him. Literally, it was an out and out manhunt. It was broadcast all over the state.

The only reason that bastion of (non-existant) human rights, Mexico, is fighting this is because he's a Mexican. Period. It's like hell vomited and the Bush administration appeared.

If Mexico cared so much for their criminally ill, the guy would not be here in the first place. And in the second place Mexico is only interfering because they want to see how far they can go. And in the third place, if the guy ever gets executed that will be justice served. But, he'll probably just spend his time in jail, watching cable, porno and having online chats while the American taxpayers support him like he's in a resort.
We are NOT a nation of immigrants!

From what I've read, Texas' track record is pretty good. They won't give a dam what mexico thinks. On Tuesday, this loser will be testing his angel theory.
mexico should get prepared, one dead dirtbag coming home.<div>Thank you Governor Brewer!</div>
