|
|
PLEASE POST, FORWARD, and BROADCAST!
Signed by 84 leaders of Immigration Enforcement Groups!
In reaction to Jim Gilchrist's (Co-Founder of Minutemen) lone endorsement of pro-amnesty Presidential Candidate Mike Huckabee:
We, the undersigned, state that our organizations stand against racism and Amnesty for illegal aliens. Instead, we stand for the enforcement of our existing immigration laws, the securing of America's borders, and attrition enforcement.
We have dedicated our efforts to fighting illegal immigration and we are compelled to warn the American public about the immigration stance and record of Presidential Candidate Mike Huckabee.
We denounce Jim Gilchrist's solo endorsement of a pro-amnesty and Open Borders candidate for President. Mr. Gilchrist does NOT speak for us!
Mike Huckabee is pro-amnesty and favors a "path to citizenship" for illegal aliens currently in the US, which would require a lifting of the current penalties.
Mike Huckabee is against ICE raids and decried them in his home state, when illegal aliens were arrested at companies that financially support his campaigns.
Mike Huckabee supports benefits for illegal aliens such as taxpayer subsidized in-state tuition.
Governor Huckabee also favors a "touchback" provision, which we feel is a trick to confuse voters. He would have illegal aliens leave for a day, pick up new papers, and then reenter the US LEGALLY, which is not the back of the immigration line! He has stated that illegal aliens could leave and "You do have a pathway to get back here legally that would take days, maybe weeks, not years."
Mike Huckabee supported Comprehensive Immigration Reform Amnesty that failed in the US Senate and was rejected by a large majority of Americans. He stated that those who opposed the legislation are "driven by racism or nativism."
Mike Huckabee has distorted the goals of "attrition enforcement" and the positions of Mark Krikorian by adding visa expansions, expedited visas, and "touchback", which would counteract enforcement measures.
In truth, Mike Huckabee's stances on the illegal immigration issue are out of line with the vast majority of Americans.

What about legislatorsforlegalimmigration.com? They just said in a national press conference that they have 32 or more state legislators who have taken a strong stance to enforce the laws because the government has not enforced them. What about Laura Ingraham, Michelle Malkin, Roy Beck and Steve Elliott? _________________

Hi,
Your draft letter reads as if 'we' are against
enforcing our immigrations laws, too (first paragraph
below). Shouldn't this sentence be worded differently
to avoid confusion - that we are against amnesty but
SUPPORT enforcement, border control?
The way the draft reads:
"We, the undersigned, state that our organizations
stand against racism and Amnesty for illegal aliens
and for the enforcement of our existing immigration
laws, the securing of America's borders, and attrition
enforcement."
Suggested language?
"We, the undersigned, state that our organizations
stand against racism and Amnesty for illegal aliens
but support the enforcement of our existing
immigration laws, the securing of America's borders,
and attrition enforcement." (or something like that)
THANKS for all you do!!!!!!!!!!! |

More suggested tweaks to wording in second paragraph:
"We, the undersigned, state that our organizations
are opposed to racism and Amnesty for illegal aliens.
We support enforcement of our existing
immigration and employment laws, the securing of America's borders,
and attrition through enforcement."
"support" is a little weak. "Demand" or "insist upon" too strident/ Hillaryesque. "Strongly support" -- qualifiers actually weaken. Is there another word? "endorse"? "Support" may be the best option.
I believe that the usual phrase is "attrition through enforcement", though I sometimes state it as "attrition and self-deportation, through enforcement". So far, the only leading candidate to explicitly endorse "attrition through enforcement" is Thompson. I wish that Romney would add it to his very strong "no amnesty" message, to clarify in no uncertain terms his plan for the illlegal aliens now in the country.
I'm very glad you used the phrase in your letter. It is the sine qua non element in fixing the mess, and the future for illegals now in the country is what most of the candidates refuse to talk about. (Giuliani's radio ad for NH only says: "If anyone becomes a citizen" he wants them to read and write English. "IF"? What kind of a plan is "If"? ) |

| Frankly, I can not even rationalize why these politicos continue these discussions on "illegal immigration." If someone entered this (or any country) by breaking the host country's laws, then that person committed a crime, & has therefore, ILLEGALLY entered by whatever means. How many other laws will be broken once here? We have to know who enters this country. Perhaps, if our security was better, 9/11 could have been disrupted. We certainly have avoided many others. Our borders are the weakest point of entry. Remember, all those people who came through Ellis Island, those who were turned away after failing certain strict requirements to enter? Yes, they were Europeans, but the minorities of their time. I guess that is not PC right now. |

We need candidates for President down through all levels of Congress who know that we can achieve mass voluntary deportation only by maximizing fines and prison sentences for those who employ the illegal aliens. Then really go after them! I personally believe that, to get Congress in tune with the will of the majority of Americans, we need to clean house of all incumbents. Especially all the "Bush Ass Kissers"
Maybe all those who have served more than one term. |

It is not just the illegal immigration items! Huckabee has praised "WalMarx" as an ideal business, he has praised Bush and said he has done a fine job.
Like I said earlier, would Jim have endorsed Iran's leader? He would talk to anyone to get noticed. Maybe the other GOOD candidates like Tancredo, Paul.... ?? were too busy to talk with someone who would be "anybody's dog that would hunt with him!"
All my staff and I at http://secureourborderstoday.com support this letter of yours William and thank you for your work! |

I live in Arkansas and I can tell you the Huck is a sorry leader who is an habitual liar who can look anybody in the eye an lie. He has a history of telling good stories and not meaning a single word of what he just said. i.e. He promosed the poor in the state that if elected he would remove the state tax on food. IMMEDIATELY AFTE R HIS ELECTION BE SAID HE WOULD NOT DO THAT.. He has spent considerable time and effort getting a Mexican Colsulate to locate here in here in Little Rock and even gave them a state funded office until they could find and pay for their own office and that outfit now draws illegals from all the surrounding states.
If you think George W is bad you have no idea what the Huck will do to this country should he ever become president, God forbid that should ever happen. Jmsgtf |
