Tell Obama he missed an opportunity to help American workers

This is from Californians for Population Stablization

Take Action ALERT! Tell Obama he missed an opportunity to help American workers by reining in immigration!

In his State of the Union speech, President Obama concentrated on creating jobs, but his failure to call for mandatory E-Verify usage or reduced levels of legal immigration show that these are just empty words. His call to "address the millions of undocumented workers who are now living in the shadows" was the same tired code for amnesty that has been rejected by Americans.

Our nation continues to import a million new legal immigrants every year, most of them working age. This does not include those who come on employment-based, "temporary" visas or the millions of illegal aliens who are already working here.

Clearly, any serious effort to provide jobs must include immigration enforcement and reduction. Remind Obama that voters want American workers to have a fair shot at American jobs.

    ACTION NEEDED

Tell President Obama that his speech ignored the fact that we can reduce unemployment by reducing immigration. Send a fax or an e-mail by clicking "Go!" below.

Sent mine, but 'Bama appears to have written off pro-Americans.

Like a lot of other people whose education is political science/law, he doesn't appear to actually know anything about economics or finance. His belief that free trade will raise all boats is nonsense. Free trade may have made economic sense when colonizers could control colonized elites, but today's elites, such as those in China, have figured out that value added is where it's at. They use currency valuation and support selected industries, and they're demanding technology transfer as a condition of setting up manufacturing in their countries. Or, as Boeing learned, demanding technolgy transfer as a condition of selling in their country. So the chance of their remaining low wage assemblers is zero. We're in a Race to the Bottom, with 'Bama leading the charge.
