Protecting English-on-the-job policies
I received the following email from Pro-English. I thought others might be interested.
[quote]Dear (cayla),
A House-Senate conference committee will meet on Tuesday next week to vote on an amendment by Senator Lamar Alexander (R-TN) that would protect the right of business owners to have English-on-the-job policies. Specifically, the amendment would stop the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) from using taxpayer funds to sue business owners that have such English-on-the-job policies, which EEOC lawyers claim are “illegal.â€Proud American and wife of a wonderful LEGAL immigrant from Ireland.

That being said, unless I go through to "official website email me" portion for my senators (Frankenstein and Boxer) I get a nasty email back stating they do not look at mass emails. I would suggest writing one letter and copy/paste that letter to both your senators and your representativeProud American and wife of a wonderful LEGAL immigrant from Ireland.

Protecting English -on- -
The EEOC is full of s--- they will go the distance for people who are here illegally and sue an employer but for legal citizens they find reasons not to sue. I have a case pending and they are trying to run a oakie doke on me. but I am not going to let them. I filed this claim because I was being harassed on my job by what was a Mexican cook. I quit my job in March of this year and filed my claim in April. I last spoke to the investigator last week and the way she was talking it was not in my favor. But, in the event they tell me that I don't have a valid claim and give me a right to sue, I will appeal the decision. This is not right and the EEOC knows its not. Who can we the citizens turn to when our own government turns its back on us?
