Who said there are no sane Californians left? I love this approach, it is going to cause a lot of emotional conflict in this state

CAPS' ADS LINK MASS IMMIGRATION TO CHANGING CLIMATE AND DETERIORATING ENVIRONMENT

Immigration Is Primary Factor Driving Population Growth In America
Californians for Population Stabilization (CAPS) launched a radio campaign in California last week linking immigration-driven population growth to environment damage and climate change. CAPS points to Census figures indicating that mass immigration is the number one factor driving population growth in America today. With less immigration, the country's population would have stabilized at near replacement levels and the gains made in curbing pollution on a per person basis would be positively affecting our environment today.

Diana Hull, President of CAPS commented, "The number one factor driving this country's population growth is mass immigration and it’s continuing unabated." Hull continued, "More people mean more cars, more energy production, more air pollution and, if greenhouse gases are a bigger problem than previously thought, overpopulation must take a very large share of the blame. How can America lead the world in addressing environmental degradation when we're the ones disproportionately responsible for both high consumption and open immigration? Addressing these global issues should start right here in California, a state not living within its resource constraints by growing at the rate of 500,000 more people a year —virtually all due to direct immigration and immigrant births.

The radio ad identifies the real "inconvenient truth" as the fact that population growth and environmental degradation are related, "people drive cars, use water, create sprawl, destroy forests and pollute." The advertisement goes on to illustrate the correlation between California's population growth and energy consumption over the last thirty years. The ad concludes by acknowledging that rolling back mass immigration is tough for "compassionate Californians" to swallow but "saving the Earth starts here in California."
