Don't even let your guard down, it's been said Bush would let the american people think he was going to pass a plan that looks like he's not going to put amnesty in it. These Z visas look like amnesty to me.

On the immigration issue I wouldn't trust him any farther than I can throw him. Just my humble opinion.

The resolution to the situation will work ou best if execution can be confined within a single term for the President on each side of the Mexican American border. That would be the current one for Felipe Calderon and which ever President is elected next. The Z visas should not be able yo be renewed past 2012.
I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. Remittances are now mostly spent on consumption not production assets. Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

There's no need for visas, send them back and then they can apply for work visas, get them out of this country FIRST, then they can negotiate for a work only visa, no path to citizenship, no family bring alongs.

What does the Z stand for...I sure hope it is not for Zetas
Never look at another flag. Remember, that behind Government, there is your country, and that you belong to her as you do belong to your own mother. Stand by her as you would stand by your own mother

To Bush, "no more amnesty" means a slap on the wrist, having to pay a minute portion of any back taxes, and having to do the Texas two-step for 24 hours across the border before coming back in as a legal worker.

    Bush speaks with forked tongue!!!!!!!!

Read my lips. No New taxes...
The apple doesn't fall very far from the BUSH!

Me thinks the president doth protest too much!
There is an upcoming election. People are talking. He has to push his agenda and he has to secure votes for those he wants in office to secure his purpose which is the NAU. He sits evenly on the fence whenever he can. That is a dangerous postition to be in and can lead to splinters in some very unsightly places!
I will never forget seeing him with his peers from Canada and Mexico. Those are HIS peeps. He just needs our votes to get the job done.
Don't forget it was President Calderon and the people of Mexico that the president promised to work very hard for, to push a comprehensive immigration bill through. He didn't have a speech to tell us that he was working for us. Oh no, he saved his reassurances for the people of Mexico.
Don't be fooled by these border visits and while I appreciate the good work of ICE. It is more for show on the part of the administration so that we will let our guards down and feel that our voices have made a difference and now we can relax and go to the beach and let the white house take care of us once more. I won't believe it till I see it in writing...notarized.

He's going to keep asking for this until he leaves office! I think he's a lame duck, but I agree we should'nt let our guard down.

Hey redbadger, I like what Countfloyd was calling the Z visas, ZORRO VISAS. Whatever you call them, I don't think we need them. We already have visa programs. Why do we need more?!
