JUAREZ -- A new document may become part of an investigation by Chihuahua State Police of escalating violence in the border town.

Two Juarez police officials were gunned down earlier this week, and another officials remains at Thomason Hospital in El Paso, where he is receiving treatment for five gunshot wounds.

An apparent "death list" may now be evaluated in the context of the investigation. According to the Web site arrobajuarez.com, the hand written note was discovered at a police memorial.

On the note -- written in Spanish -- are the names of four murdered officials as well as a list of additional names. At the top of the list are the words: "For those who did not believe." Under that statement the names of the murdered officials are listed.

Also on the note is another message and a longer list of names, with the heading, "For those who continue without believing." The list features the names of 17 people.
