As many of you know there has been an ongoing battle by U.S. Border Watch against the establishment of an authorized day labor site first discussed by the Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce and transitioned to a faith based coalition. USBW members met with Texas State Representative Patricia Harless, Pct 4 Constable Ron Hickman, HNWCC President Barbara Thomason, East Gulf Coast Republicans President Stan Smith and Larry Youngblood. It was decided in that lengthy meeting that the establishment of an authorized day labor site is not a viable option to solve the problem on Stuebner-Airline in North Harris County. Due to the fact that there would be no rules to make the illegal aliens go to this particular site and it would not solve the problem. The decision that the more viable option would be a joint effort between all parties to get the community involved was reached. It was decided that there would be a petition placed in the neighborhood newsletters. This petition would demand that the business owners (who are now allowing the illegal aliens to loiter on their property) to cooperate in the process of solving this problem. It was also decided that some legislation is needed. State Representative Patricia Harless is assisting in this matter. The fact that the Chamber of Commerce is assisting in both of these ideas USBW has ceased operations against the Chamber.

The faith-based group that is now overseeing the day labor site project will become the major focus of U.S. Border Watch. Today, USBW President Curtis Collier and Day Labor Operations Coordinator Steve Potvin met with the faith base coalition board. The meeting was cordial but it was clear that the faith base organization is determined to open this day labor site. They for the most part would not even entertain any of our ideas that we believe would bring a solution to the problem. For example, they are opposed to a request to the property owners to stop the loitering on their property. This brings up an interesting thought they told us it was about getting the illegals away from the subdivisions our plans would do exactly that.

On September 25th, 2007 there will be a public forum to discuss this issue. USBW will be a part of that forum. We were told in previous meetings with this group that USBW would provide 3 panelists and the faith base coalition would also provide 3 panelists. Like the open borders group they are, they changed the rules. Removing Eric Story from the panel because they say he does not live in the district and in fact Curtis will be the only anti-illegal immigration activist on the seven-person panel. I have launched a complaint of the one sidedness of the panel and was told I could show up or not even though they called me to be on it in the first place. I was informed by Dr. Moore of the coalition that USBW would be well advised not to challenge the faith based coalition on this issue.

Mr. Moore we are opposed by human smugglers, a number of drug cartels, MS-13, LULAC, LARAZA, The Governments of The Republic of Mexico and the United States. So USBW is certainly not afraid of threats made by this faith based coalition. If they would like to challenge us on this issue, we will be more than happy to accommodate.

This is where I need your help at 6:30pm on September 25th, 2007 at the Cypress Creek Christian Community Center located at 6823 Cypresswood Drive Spring, Texas 77379 next to the Court House. It is clear that this will not be a fair panel and we expect a stacked audience. I need you there in USBW attire if you have it. (Please no military attire) We will have USBW shirts and caps available at forum between 6:00pm and 6:30pm on the 25th. For months now we have been fighting these day labor sites and we are reaching the final stage of this battle it is essential that we have a large turn out at this event. USBW will be requesting the support from other groups such as TFIR, Cherry Tree Republicans, Texas Tea Party, etc.

The line in the sand has been drawn I need you to cross this line and join me. I look forward to seeing you on the 25th.

Sincerely,
Curtis Collier
President USBW

I might mention one more thing about the "Faith Based" Organization that Curtis is up against here. They are not a group that most of us would consider as Christian Leaders. I say this because during their meeting yesterday, they also stated that they believed Prostitution should be legalized.

Please make every attempt to attend this meeting. Bring your questions and when possible support your position with scripture so that we can expose these individuals for who they are. Bring camera, video camera, and other recording devices as this is going to be a battle.

Most importantly, pray and be prepared to stand up for our laws and our nation. It is apparent that our current political leadership is not willing to do this.
