IA - "Inexcusable" for illegal aliens to hold jobs

King: 'inexcusable' for illegal aliens to hold jobs
    Monday, February 8, 2010
    Storm Lake Pilot Tribune

Western Iowa Congressman Steve King has introduced a bill he calls "New IDEA" - the Illegal Deduction Elimination Act - which he says "will immediately reduce America's unemployment and result in the hiring of millions of unemployed Americans."

The bill would crack down on employers who hire illegal aliens by denying them the ability to deduct their pay and benefits from their business income tax. Companies that use the E-Verify system to try to identify illegal applicants would be exempt from the penalties.

King noted that Iowa's unemployment rate is 6.6 percent, and says the Pew Hispanic Center reports that eight million illegal aliens hold American jobs. "In Iowa alone, there are 112,700 unemployed workers while 35,000 illegal aliens hold jobs. "It is inexcusable for American citizens and law abiding immigrants to be jobless while law-breaking illegal aliens hold American jobs," King said.

Calling an illegal alien an "undocumented worker" is like calling a drug dealer an "unlicensed pharmacist"........

I like Rep. King. He seems one of the few left in D.C. with common sense.

Yes, Rep. Steve King knows who he works for, the people who voted him into office.
