Illegal aliens are guilty of much more than crossing the border illegally. Illegals couldn't survive, much less thrive, in this country for, say, 5 - 10 - even 20 years without committing other crimes. Just because you don't get caught doesn't mean you don't regularly break the law. It's just plain silly to think illegals don't drive without a driver's license, utilize fake identification documents, social security cards, vote illegally, accept cash payment for jobs, thus avoiding federal income taxes, drive while intoxicated, etc., etc. All illegals may not do all of these things, but most illegals do participate in some of these things. You can't just walk into a country illegally and survive without breaking some laws.
