Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies rounded up suspected illegal immigrants early Thursday at the Mesa Public Library.

The raid occurred about 2:30 a.m. at 64 E. First St.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio confirmed the operation took place but didn’t provide details. In a statement, sheriff’s spokesman Capt. Paul Chagolla said a search warrant was served by deputies over night at the library.

Yah, right, Arpaio's the loose cannon, but the contractor knowingly hired illegal aliens to clean the library. Who's full of bull here?

I suppose they're doing the jobs Americans won't do so they should be "given a break" right?
Illegal aliens remain exempt from American laws, while they DEMAND American rights...

All libraries need ICE raiding when they raid a company in the area of the libraries. Tax payers footing the library bills.

MESA -- The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office is conducting an employer sanctions-related investigation in Mesa.

Sheriff's deputies served a search warrant overnight at the city of Mesa public library, according to Capt. Paul Chagolla with the sheriff's office.

Chagolla said several arrests have been made and additional search warrants are in the process of being served in the city of Phoenix.

In a release from the City of Mesa they said warrants were also served at Mesa City Hall.

The City of Mesa said the warrants are related to possible infractions committed by non-city employees who were hired by an outside contractor to clean the buildings.

The city added a search warrant was served this morning at the City's Municipal Security Badging office looking for records related to the outside contractor.

"The City of Mesa is fully committed to enforcing all laws, including state employer sanction and federal immigration statutes," said Heather Gray in a release from the City of Mesa. "The City utilizes outside contractors to perform many services. All of the City’s contracts require these outside contractors comply with all state and federal employment laws, including the state employer sanction statute. Specifically, the City’s contract mandates that outside contractors “insure that all [their] employees have a legal right to live and work in the United States,â€

    NATIONAL JANITORIAL BUSINESS IN MESA
TARGETED BY SHERIFF’S OFFICE FOR EMPLOYER
    SANCTIONS VIOLATIONS

Witness Says Mesa Police Lieutenant Knew About Potential
    I.D. Theft and Forgery Crimes
    But Turned a Blind Eye

(Phoenix, AZ.) In what is now the third employer sanctions investigation of a Mesa
based business, Maricopa County Sheriff’s detectives served search warrants today on
Management Cleaning Controls (MCC Acquisitions), a nationwide janitorial provider
to grocery and retail companies such as Target, Dillards, Sears, Albertsons and
    Kroger.
Nationally, the company has 2500 employees. In Mesa, there are 350 employees.
Sheriff’s detectives, who have been looking into the company for months, say at least
200 employees have social security number discrepancies and 16 employees were
    arrested today.
The Sheriff’s office received information about the potential violations on a dedicated
illegal immigration hotline from a former City of Mesa employee.
The informant told detectives that he had provided information to his supervisor,
Mesa Police Lt. Wade Pew, detailing a number of fake I.D. and forgery cases.
According to the witness statement in the affidavit, Wade responded saying “This
    isn’t Mesa Police’s problem. It’s the cleaning company’s issue.â€
