DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — A judge will hear motions on Monday regarding a former kosher slaughterhouse manager who has asked to have nearly 100 counts against him dismissed and his trial moved to Minneapolis or Chicago.

Sholom Rubashkin, former manager of the Agriprocessors Inc. plant in Postville, Iowa, faces multiple immigration and bank fraud charges.

A 99-count indictment against him and four other defendants followed a May 12 immigration raid at the northeast Iowa plant that resulted in the arrest of 389 people.

During Monday's hearing a federal judge is scheduled to hear Rubashkin's motions to dismiss the indictment, hold separate trials on some charges, and change the trial site from Cedar Rapids to Minneapolis or Chicago
