    Disturbing Factoid

Lou Dobbs reported that in 2007, the 5 largest banks paid their executives $39 billion in bonuses. These same banks lost $75 billion for their shareholders.

Any corporation that has to respond to stock and bondholders should have the common sense to not sign these golden parachute contracts to attract a new CEO. Home Depot's Bob Nardelli ended up with millions after the stock tanked under his administration. This culture of stupidity has to change and right now. Of course, there are very few CEO candidates these days who will face reality, that their pay and residuals should depend on their performance, by the stock and bondholders, instead of a few guys in a boardroom. This corporate culture is socialism at the finest.
