7 illegal immigrant workers arrested in Vt.

BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) — The U.S. Border Patrol has accused seven alleged illegal immigrants working on a construction project at the University of Vermont of being in the country illegally.
The Burlington Free Press reports (Seven immigrant workers arrested in Vermont | Burlington Free Press | burlingtonfreepress.com federal agents say two Mexican nationals overstayed their work visas and five others failed to go through a mandated inspection at a border entry station for the United States.
The group, arrested at a motel in Essex, is awaiting hearings before an immigration judge.
The men were part of a crew working on the Redstone Lofts, a 403-bed independent living development.

The construction industry continues to be one of the main employers of illegal aliens, both in residential and commercial projects. So many Americans have lost their livelihoods in this business, as illegals have started their own companies, hired other illegals, and worked for wages way below what American citizens can subsist on.
