GOP having difficult time with immigration

State Republicans wishing to remain in lock step with their conservative president find his stand on illegal immigration perplexing.

The state Executive Committee passed a strongly worded resolution last weekend that called for sealing the country's borders against the flood of illegal immigrants.

Freddy Ard, who chairs the Resolutions Committee, rushed to say that the party isn't at odds with the president's overall policies. He was careful to say the Alabama resolution is in line with those passed in many other states.

Hugh McInnish of Huntsville, a former congressional candidate, stirred the pot of potential discord when he offered the strongly worded resolution. It was Ok for him to be concerned with terrorists slipping in, but he touched a tender spot when he mentioned the burden illegals place on taxpayers.

Both Democrats and Republicans should stand strongly for legal immigration and eagerly welcome new people to America.

But the Republicans shouldn't apologize for seeming to be out of lock step with the administration on what we, even here in Decatur, see happening to our culture and our tax dollars.

GOP having difficult time with immigration
    Ooooh reeeeeally?!?!?!?!?

State Republicans wishing to remain in lock step with their conservative president find his stand on illegal immigration perplexing.

Oh my, my GOP is "perplexed" with deciding whether to represent its members or keep takin' orders from a President on his way to the Treason Gallows!! My 9 year old nephew and my 15 year old niece could resolve that quandry in about....3 seconds....but of course, I think they are "brilliant"!!

The state Executive Committee passed a strongly worded resolution last weekend that called for sealing the country's borders against the flood of illegal immigrants.
Oh good....that should help....a "strongly worded resolution".....who do they intend to read it?

Freddy Ard, who chairs the Resolutions Committee, rushed to say that the party isn't at odds with the president's overall policies. He was careful to say the Alabama resolution is in line with those passed in many other states.
Aaaaw!! So we've got strongly worded resolutions about sealing America's borders in "many other states"!!

Geeee....I guess that notion is beginning to fold in like flour in an angel food cake!!

"Touched a tender spot"......may I ask "Whose tender spot did he touch?"

What American taxpayer is going to go "ouch" when someone tried to get illegals off the public doles? I wouldn't worry too much about THAT TENDER SPOT or whomever it belongs to...cause they are definitely in the minority of public opinion and PROBABLY headed to the Treason Gallows!!

Both Democrats and Republicans should stand strongly for legal immigration and eagerly welcome new people to America.
Well....at this point in time, given all we've learned, the fact that over 80% of Americans want it ALL STOPPED, and a growing number are ready to take to the streets and have a New Tea Party over it.....he should have left the words "strongly" and "eagerly" out of his statement.

But the Republicans shouldn't apologize for seeming to be out of lock step with the administration on what we, even here in Decatur, see happening to our culture and our tax dollars.
No....no American should ever apologize for "seeming to be out of lock step" with an "administration" sneakin' around behind our backs, circumventing the legislative process, trying to be a King and His Court to end our Nation to rule a Hemisphere filled with Crones and Drones!!

I am sooooooo glad, he made "clear" that no American should ever apologize for trying to stop and catch a Traitor to the United States.

Anybody with an IQ over 50 can easily see the burden on taxpayers.

    AND RIGHT YOU ARE DATAMAN!!

The operative words being "IQ over 50"

We could also establish an age threshold of "9".

That way, they'd have two chances to GET IT RIGHT!!
