Thread: Missive from Sixx

I had a very good visit with my good friend Rudy Cruz this evening. Rudy is a Mexican-American. He was born in the United States of America. Rudy is mad as all get out at the illegal problem. Rudy, my dear friend, has a tumor on his kidney, which is benign. It still has to be removed.
Rudy recoundted to me his Parkland Hospital stories. Rudy's son , Robert, is going to UT as a pitcher on their baseball team. He graduated in the top 10% of his class. Therefore, he gets in to any TEXAS college that he wants to go to-Texas Law. The kid is bad to the bone. Rudy has bilateral shoulder problems. I'm not in the mood to explain the science at this moment. Rudy recounted his vistit. This man has been in the U.S. for three years and has TWO wheel chairs. Both paid for by u and me. Rudy is 53 years old.
He has type 2 diabetes. For the last five years he has been trying to get his SSI. He said to me this evening that he sees a very violent situation on the TEXAS border with Mexico. Rudy is no fool. On Saturday, 4 June 2005, we are having a party for Robert. I'm going to the dinner. The dance is from 8-12 after the dinner from 6-7. Sixx is giving $500.00 as a "patron". A good time will be had by all. What's the point? This is a kid that will never be in MS-13. He will be a pitcher at UT (go Longhorns). He is 18. For the next fifty years, he will be involved in MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL. He is already a sucess. As you all, and I have to qualify ALL, know, Robert is not the norm. But Robert was not raised by the NORM parents. They have DEMANDED the best of this kid since I met him at 6 years old. I went off to two "wars" and the kid threw baseballs. Do you see how we are so much alike though different? Now I am going to get real with ya!!!!. If WE don't stop this illegal mumbo gumbo, we are DEAD!!!
It is not, at least to my thinking, about race. It is about the rule of law.
Let's pretend old Sixx breaks into YOUR house tonight. I demand your house, you wallet, car keys, and ATM card.
What, pray tell, would you do? This is not a rhetorical question. Then you understand the TEXAS point of view. We are united. Black, White, and Mexican AMERICAN!!!. We don't play. Hell, I quit grade school because they kept having recess. The MMP had sucesss in Arizona. Governor Rick Scary, a.k.a slick Rick flipped the script because thousands of
TEXANS bombarded his retarded posterior ( see Wiliam even I got the message) with messages, faxes, etc.
Some of you in other states sent messages etc. Thank you. Let me say a few words about William. Friends, this is a man of intergrity. He chewed my posterior out when I was mad as hell. I thank him for that. As a retired military officer that was not a West Point Wonder, I was let's say, not well versed in the social graces of the civilian world. Thanks William,you made me own up to the GENTELMEN part of the mantra Officer and Gentleman. I appreciate your effort, which has been joined by citizens of every state. I appreciate your dedication and devotion. I don't kiss up to my wife of 25 years so I would not do it for a MAN that I have never met. But you William, are someone that I RESPECT!!!!
Judy, 2ndamendmis, JP, Redgirl, ButterBean, RoadRunner, Chirs with the numbers behind it (you know who you are) Virginamama, Thang, dataman, all of you: we are in the fight. Yall (TEXAS for you all) are my new family. I have NEVER seen so many intelligent people gathered in one place. I have however seen as many single digit, low frequency , dumb butts in the same place. So imagine my glee. I said all that to say this: Fight the good fight. I am going to S. America next week to do my thing with Doctors Without Borders. Please pray for me. If there is a soft spot in the Sixx heart, it is for the kids with cleft palletes, heart murmurs, etc. I could go to any resort for my vacation, but I choose to help CHILDREN. I don't DOUBLE DIPP. I do what the Lord tells me to do.
Man, it's late, and if you read this, you are tired too. Keep up the good fight. We are making a difference. God is on our side because William says not to meet violent rhetoric with the same. At first, quite frankly, I thought he was CRAZY!!! Only in the last few days have I come around to his line of thinking (not completely) and have seen what he is talking about. We must stay united. We must stay focused. We must be ALIPAC.
Above reproach. Honarable yet truthfull (as if there was a difference).
See, I figured out that Gilcrest, Simcox, and William are the Patrick Henry's of the 21st century. We need to stand beside and behind them.
I don't need to be a star. If my leader is a man or woman of true grit, that makes me one too. So, flegling, master, hero, whatever, FOLLOW OUR LEADER. He is a man with a true set and he is smart to boot. I'll catch yall when I get back. PEACE if possible.

That was a very powerful letter. I could tell by reading some of your posts, that you were dedicated in some kind of medical field. Doctors Without Borders is a wonderful organization. I could see, behind some of your posts, that you were a real softy with a heart of gold. I will pray for you. Let us know from time to time, how things are going. You've made alot of friends here, count on me as one. Bless you.
