ROSWELL, N.M. -- Roswell police have stopped detaining undocumented immigrants for the Border Patrol.
Roswell Police Chief Rob Smith told the Police Council Committee that recent conversations with the Border Patrol and Immigration and Customs Enforcement cast doubt on the practice.
Smith said Roswell police have detained suspected undocumented immigrants since he became an officer 32 years ago.
But he notified officers in a memo May 14 they no longer would incarcerate undocumented immigrants if the person's legal status in the country was the only charge.

Sounds like more Obama policy to me. I'd say we've seen ample evidence lately to suggest that illegal aliens considered non-criminal illegals by the Obama administration are now receiving de facto amnesty. This is very disturbing."The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing" ** Edmund Burke**

It sounds like this guy has been using the UFO Highway too much lately, and has somehow been beamed up to the mother ship which wipes out his idea of patriotism.
