The Lakewood Township Committee is waiting for state regulatory and funding issues to be resolved before it moves ahead on creating an official, publicly funded gathering site for day laborers to hook up with employers.
The committee should scrap the plan. It should spare state taxpayers the cost of supporting a place where lawbreaking is not just ignored, but encouraged. The township has no plans to verify that the laborers the muster zone would serve are in this country legally. There also are no plans to track the contractors who would hire the laborers â€â€

Magnificent; someone addresses the law and order aspect of this entire useless fiasco.

Why don't open a pot smoking section downtown as well, it is really harmless, and let's face it, it is likely a bigger illegal economy than hiring day laborers.

I want to see government funding for that.

Let's burn heavy down to the home cheapo dude, it's ok, it's awright. then go get legal and head to the bars for a drink. What to say? g
