TUCSON, AZ - A suspected illegal immigrant arrested by Border Patrol agents helped crews arrest a drug smuggler and find a stash-house in Arizona this week.

According to officials from U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Ajo Border Patrol agents first interviewed the subject on Wednesday, who provided the location of the house. Surveillance of the property was conducted by Border Patrol agents and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations.

A vehicle was reportedly seen leaving the residence, which was followed by the agents to a gas station. When the driver walked inside, they approached the vehicle and saw marijuana bundles in view. The driver was arrested and vehicle seized, which contained approximately 330 pounds of marijuana.

A search warrant on the house was then executed based on gathered intelligence, where HSI agents and detectives from the Pinal County Sheriff's Office apprehended one person. Found inside were 20 additional bundles of marijuana weighing 440 pounds, a shotgun, a revolver, roughly 200 rounds of ammunition, scales, ledgers, U.S. currency, and cellular phones.

The driver of the vehicle and subject at the house were taken into custody by ICE HSI, and are being held on federal charges.
