    Published November 04, 2006 01:01 pm - t is official – Ordinance 06-04 was passed at the October 30 Town Council meeting making it unlawful for any employer within the Inola City Limits to employ unlawful workers.
    In addition, all employers will also required to participate in Homeland’s Security Basic Pilot Program as a condition to entering into any contract with the city. That program requires employers to verify that their employees have a social security number or a valid immigration card. Fine for not complying is $200 per worker and the possibility of losing their contract with the city.

    In addition, all employers will also required to participate in Homeland’s Security Basic Pilot Program as a condition to entering into any contract with the city. That program requires employers to verify that their employees have a social security number or a valid immigration card. Fine for not complying is $200 per worker and the possibility of losing their contract with the city.

    Tommy Dyer, Jr., attorney for Inola, said this ordinance does not include making English the official language in Inola nor did it cover renting to illegal citizens. This can be brought up at a later date if found necessary.

    Fine for not complying is $200 per worker and the possibility of losing their contract with the city.
    A chain is only as strong as its weakest link. $200.00 should be at a minimum $2,000.00 per person.

    This is wonderful news and yet due to the Swift sweeps going on it has been brought up that the Basic Pilot Program will only verify if the ss# is a valid one. Does not tell who's name it belongs to. This has to be corrected asap.

    okay where is this town located?

    and how come with it being pased in OCTOBER it didnt make national news like hazelton or farmers branch
