NIAGARA COUNTY: Four illegal aliens detained after traffic stop



Sheriff’s deputies conducting a traffic stop Monday morning in Cambia reportedly found four illegal aliens in the car.

Deputies stopped a car at 9:26 a.m. on Ridge Road after the driver failed to signal a turn from Cambria-Wilson Road.

While interviewing the driver, deputies saw four Hispanic men in the car. None of the men could produce identification.

Deputies called U.S. Border Patrol and asked the driver and passengers to get out of the car.

When asked if there was anything illegal in the car, the driver reportedly said the four other men were illegal aliens.

He agreed to a search of the car, and deputies found nothing else illegal.

The driver and passengers were patted down, and the passengers were placed in a patrol car until Border Patrol officers arrived.

Border Patrol officers took the four men into custody.

The driver was given a verbal warning about failing to signal for the turn.
