Florida business leaders consider coalition on immigration reform
MIAMI Florida business leaders tired of the immigration deadlock in Washington are trying to form a coalition to pressure state and federal representatives to push for reform.
Business leaders in a growing number of states are beginning to take a bigger role in the immigration debate. Texas, Arizona and Colorado are home to some of the nation's largest immigrant populations, Those states already have business coalitions dedicated to the issue.
Some Florida business leaders say industry relies too much on national associations such as the U-S Chamber of Commerce.
There's a meeting tomorrow in Clearwater where business leaders will try to come up solutions.
Among the issues on the table will be how current immigration laws affect the state's businesses work force and its international visitors, as well as how best to reform the immigration and visa system.Support our FIGHT AGAINST illegal immigration & Amnesty by joining our E-mail Alerts at https://eepurl.com/cktGTn
