Former DMV employee charged with issuing licenses to illegal aliens

Last week, former Wisconsin DMV employee, Khue Xiong, 36, was indicted by a federal grand jury for erroneously issuing driver’s licenses to about 70 illegal aliens, while he worked at the Stevens Point location.

Xiong allegedly accepted payments in exchange for inputting false information into DMV’s computer system, so that the illegal aliens appeared eligible for a license.

Five others were also indicted in the scheme.

Eric Silva, Rolando Lima, Ricardo Gonzales De Arcos, Sebastian Cortes Vieyra, and Benito Alvarez Saldana all allegedly worked finding illegal aliens and directing them to Xiong.

This type of corruption is becoming more commonplace across the country.

-A little over a week ago, former New Hampshire Department of Motor Vehicles employee, Donna Rockholt pleaded guilty to multiple, charges including bribery and theft.

According to prosecutors, in exchange for $500, Rockholt would provide driver’s licenses to illegal aliens without asking for proper documentation.

She is believed to have issued about 70 of the bogus licenses.

Prosecutors are asking that she be sentenced to 12 years in prison.

-In July 2010, Texas Department of Public Safety employee, Gracie Gutierrez, 27, was arrested for taking bribes in exchange for issuing driver’s licenses to illegal aliens. She was caught in an undercover sting.

Gutierrez is alleged to have issued the licenses without ever even administering the required DPS tests.

Gutierrez, who lives in Houston, was charged with bribery and is being held in the Harris County Jail on $50,000 bond.

A co-worker, Saul Ramirez, 20, was also nabbed in the bribery investigation. He is being held on $35,000 bond.

-In December 2009, seven employees at the Florida state license bureau in Delray Beach were arrested in a similar bribery investigation. The scam allegedly put drivers licenses in the hands more than 1,500 illegal aliens.

Police in Palm Beach arrested Willy Adam, 52, and charged him with five counts of unlawful compensation to reward official behavior, and two counts of conspiracy, both felonies.

At his arraignment, Palm Beach County Assistant State Attorney Alan Johnson, told Judge Ted S. Booras that Adam is not a U.S. citizen and presents a flight risk. He is currently in the West Palm Beach county Jail on $145,000 bail.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office issued a warrant for Adam in September, along with six others accused of facilitating the scam by issuing bribes, making phony immigration documents, and escorting the illegal aliens to the DMV employees in question.

According to police, the license bureau examiners in question issued licenses to the illegal aliens without administering either a driving or written test.

The DMV employees allegedly received between $1,200 to $2,500 per license, while prosecutors believe that those involved made several millions in the illegal operation.

Is there anyone here who doubts thousands of illegal aliens get a new driver's license each and every day throughout the entire United States?

Many illegal aliens have multiple identities, with multiple social security numbers, and driver's licenses.

It really opens up a lot of options for them.

That is very true because, I been have involved in situations when illegal aliens were checked and 6 or 7 I.D's would be on their persons. Sometimes it is very hard to track down who those people really are and what is their real names. Scary isn't it!!!
