    NE - GOP ties fund drive to illegal immigration

    The Nebraska Republican Party has launched a fundraising appeal tied to its opposition to benefits or amnesty for illegal immigrants.

    A mailing last month centering on the issue has prompted more than 1,000 responses so far, GOP State Chairman Mark Fahleson of Lincoln said Thursday.

    The letter asks recipients to answer a series of questions expressing their opinions about illegal immigration while seeking contributions to the party.

    I don't know, maybe it's just me but this groveling for dollars on promises of coming out on anti-illegal immigration is getting old. I've seen TOO MANY Pol's grovel, get their $, get re-elected and then turn on the people that funded them and put them in office.

    Maybe I'm just jaded? Or tired?
