    ASK A MEXICAN 1/30/09

    January 30, 2009

    ¡ASK A MEXICAN!

    By Gustavo Arellano

Dear Mexican: I can’t tell you how disappointed I’ve been these past few days, as a U.S. citizen and ciudadano mexicano, how I’ve been seeing more and more stories about los narcos and how the Mexican government keeps getting screwed over in newspapers. I think that you should dedicate a whole article in your column telling your gringo readers what their pot and crack consuming has done to our country and the history of drug cartels such as Los Zetas. Gabachos are sick and tired of more of our people coming into the U.S. , when they have no one else but themselves to blame. Like the song by Molotov, “Aunque nos hagan la fama/de que somos vendedores/de la droga que sembramos/ustedes son consumidores.â€

So now Mexican-Mexicans are slandering Mexican-Americans? While I can think of a few reasons they should not be written.
Why are so many Mexican-Americans up in arms about their rights when most of them are S.O.B.’s and drunks!?
Apparently, since Gustavo is in Anaheim, CA, giving him the benefit of the doubt he is here legally, also belongs to the class that he is bashing. What I glean is that his loyalities reside in the paradise of Mexico.
And one question, Gustavo, how did you know those threatening you were Mexican-Americans or illegals?
I’ve had married Mexicans attempt to molest me, Mexican girls threaten, stalk and steal, and I’ve been assaulted by a Mexican because I wouldn’t have intercourse with him. Mexican Mexicans are lovely and friendly, but Mexican American are aggressive and don’t have any appreciation for anyone’s rights but their own.
Of course, to you I suppose they are Mexican-Americans once they lay a foot across the border, legally or illegally. Study the dictionary as to context, or perhaps take some classes in anthropology and sociology.

Mexico's drug wars are not due to American drug habits, they are fighting for control of territories. American could throw that argument back in their face by saying America's drug problem is due to Mexico selling drugs in our country. Gee, maybe we should build a big wall along the border to keep all the drugs out and then the cartels would have nothing to fight over, we'd be doing them a favor. But there is still the European and other markets open to them and you can be sure plenty of their dope gets used right at home, they have plenty of drug users down there too.

Yep, without suppliers there couldn't be consumers. Furthermore, even a reduction in supply will increase the cost of product. This reduction in supply will make the drug less affordable to the consumer. Therefore, it's imparative that we extinguish the source whenever and wherever possible. Anyone with half a brain knows that the elimination of the source will naturally reduce consumption (cost will become prohibitive for many users).

Also these cartels are not simply selling and transporting dugs, they are also into prostitution, extortion, kidnapping, fraud, money laundering, porn, real estate and anything else they can do to make money weather it's legal or not. They are an organization in business to make money and like any profitable business they understand diversity.
Money buys power and control and even if no drugs were shipped into the USA these people would still be in business and fighting for power and control.
The bodies they find cut up down there are simply a form of narco-terrorism designed to scare away anyone who would oppose them and keep those in line who work for them.
