The name of a youth arrested in a violent incident that left one dead and two badly injured has been released. His mother has been charged with being an accessory in the incident.

Jason Lee Flores, 16, of Brandon is charged with capital murder, kidnapping, aggravated assault and burglary in the incident, said Rankin County Sheriff Ronnie Pennington. His name was not previously released because he is a juvenile, but he has been charged as an adult.

Anthony Perez, 23, of Brandon, Corey Sims, 19, of Braxton face the same charges. All are being held at the Rankin County Detention Center without bond. Flores' mother, Monica Flores, has been charged with being an accessory before the fact.

The investigation has been slowed because many involved speak Spanish, not English.

Nonetheless, investigators believe they have figured out what happened Monday evening, Pennington said. The sheriff described the incident as a dispute between neighbors. He would not elaborate for fear of hurting the investigation by doing so.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents have taken seven suspected illegal immigrants into custody after they were rounded up by the Rankin County Sheriff's Department following the melee, Pennington said. The Sheriff's Department is holding five other suspected illegal immigrants whom ICE may pick up.

The group was rounded up Monday night at the Mattie Burnett Trailer Park following an incident in which three men were injured. One of the injured died later that night.

A translator certified by state and federal courts is helping with the investigation, said Rankin County Undersheriff Bryan Bailey.
