Illegal immigration is costing Arizona $1.6 billion a year – a staggering 19 percent of the state’s total budget – Gov. Jan Brewer claimed in an exclusive interview with Newsmax.TV, adding that the Obama administration is turning a blind eye to it since migrants will help Obama register more Democratic voters.

Successful efforts in California and Texas to close off the border are funneling aliens through her state, Brewer said, while the federal government sits by and watches.

And she claimed the Obama administration does nothing to stop the influx because the more illegal immigrants there are in the country, the more votes the Democrats will get.

“We are fed up,â€

Napolitano: illegal immigration down "substantially"

WASHINGTON, D.C. (KOLD) - Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano is responding to immigration concerns raised by Arizona Governor Jan Brewer.

Governor Brewer says the former Arizona governor doesn't care about border issues now that she's in Washington. Napolitano says that's just not true.

"Illegal immigration is down substantially from where it was at its peak," Napolitano says. "Our ability to seize drugs and bulk cash and guns has gone up dramatically. We have good partnerships with Mexican law enforcement, so we're going to continue to make that border a robust and safe border."

Napolitano continues to stand by her statement that the border has never been safer or more secure.

As of October 12th, 25 states were ordered to offer ballots in Spanish and other languages. Not sure about Utah and New Mexico, but it is my understanding that Washington state allows voter registration with a photo I.D. and of course Washington (together with Utah and New Mexico) allows illegal aliens to obtain drivers licenses. There are a host of states that are tightening up voting laws in January, February & March of 2012. Washington state has become a launching pad for an illegal aliens ability to obtain a drivers license. They are arresting illegals as far east as New Jersey and Florida with Washington drivers licenses. Illegals do vote. It has been alleged and under investigation that up to 5,000 illegal votes were cast in the state of Colorado in 2010....enough to defeat a conservative candidate.

Next thing Dems will ask for is the matricula card be accepted for voting i.d.
