BOAZ, Ala. (WAAY) -- Raids, roadblocks and dozens of arrests have been made in Marshall and DeKalb counties in connection with "Operation Clean Sweep", with a number of illegal immigrants now facing possible deportation.

At the FBI's field command post in Boaz, agents were going in and out of the building all day Tuesday, working on a sting operation that appears to have all the makings of a well coordinated illegal immigrant roundup. It is unknown how many arrests were made or how many illegal immigrants have been found.

While the agency wouldn't comment on the operation Tuesday, agents said there will be a news conference later in the week to talk about what happened.
