Immigration reform focus of protest march

    2:00 a.m. April 12, 2009

SAN DIEGO: About 300 protesters marched through Barrio Logan yesterday afternoon calling for immigration reform.

Elsewhere, tax protesters met for a San Diego Tax Day Tea Party.
The fifth annual Zapata March, named after Mexican revolutionary hero Emiliano Zapata, started in Chicano Park and traveled two miles through the neighborhood. Marchers of all ages waved Mexican flags and held signs in Spanish, such as “ICE Fuera,â€

Okay, now American taxpayers feel warm and fuzzy to the invaders. Nothing will get our sympathy like pretending we're in Mexico.

That guy in the photo with the sign suggesting we learn history needs a few lessons himself. He speaks the language of European conquerors, not the native people of Mexico, which, by the way, never lived that far north.

Clearly an act of hostility and derision for us, our laws and our country. Then they will be puzzled when some of our less temperate youth hoot at them.
Thsi is my country and I am tired of it. I am even more tired of our politicians who support these invaders.

Link above to past school controversy about the May Day march. A socialist group was saying that the minutemen where going to a school board meeting to protest students going to the march. Untrue.

For several years there has been the issue of the schools and will students take the day off? It's one thing if you are an adult but another if you are a child in school.

In the past two marches our school has sent out a letter to parents to let them know that it would NOT be an excused day.

We should all check with our school superintendents and ask them to take some kind of stand about not missing a day of school. During the first march we had kids marching through our town's street.
