U.S. Border Patrol seizes 262 pounds of cocaine at Indio station on Thanksgiving Day

The U.S. Border Patrol busted a driver with more than $8.3 million worth of cocaine on Thanksgiving Day, it announced today.

The 262 pounds of cocaine were seized from a tractor-trailer that was driven through the Indio station checkpoint at highways 78 and 86 near Salton Sea.

Border Patrol dogs alerted agents to the truck about noon Thursday. The truck was then put through a large scan, which showed “anomalies within the truck,â€
