Dunseith CBP Officers Capture Fugitive

Dunseith, N.D. - U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers conducting outbound examinations in the northbound traffic lanes arrested a Rolla, N.D., woman wanted on domestic violence assault and battery charges.

Dawn Laducer, 33, a United States citizen, arrived at the port around 2:15 p.m. as a passenger in a vehicle that was traveling northbound into Canada. CBP officers conducted routine queries on the vehicle and vehicle occupants. An NCIC warrant was discovered for Laducer from the Turtle Mountain Indian Reservation. The Bureau of Indian Affairs was contacted to verify that the National Criminal Information Center entry was active and confirmed that she was wanted. A BIA officer responded to the Dunseith port of entry and took custody of Luducer.
