This has got to go. Americans should not be denied an education in favor of illegals.

Bill Could Keep Gomez Brothers In US Through 2009

(CBS4) Two Kendall brothers, who have battling deportation orders, may find out Wednesday whether or not they’ll be able to stay in the United States a bit longer, thanks to a presidential hopeful.

Senator Chris Dodd, a Connecticut Democrat who is running for president, filed a private bill that would allow Juan and Alex Gomez to stay in the U.S. until 2009.

The brothers are facing deportation to Colombia. Their parents brought them to the United States when they were infants and overstayed their visas.

Senator Dodd supports the ‘Dream Act’, which would allow children of illegal immigrants who grew up in the United States to continue their education in the U.S.

Dodd met the Gomez brothers while he was in Miami for the September 9th presidential forum broadcast on Spanish-language television.
