One of the most violent and feared gangs in the world may have an open invitation to come to the First Coast.

The CBS 47 Troubleshooters have uncovered information that the dangerous MS-13 gang may have been called in to help protect illegal immigrants living in town because they say they can't count on police.

According to authorities, the MS-13 gang is one of the most feared and fastest growing gangs in the U.S. With ties to El Salvador, members have been know to leave calling cards, not with bullets, but machetes. An MS-13 execution can mean decapitation, and initiation means getting beaten almost to death.

Last year, during several home invasion robberies of undocumented Hispanic day laborers in Jacksonville, it was feared that MS-13 might come to Jacksonville.

Roy Henderson is the Chief of Organized Crime and Narcotics investigations with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. He says police wanted to make it clear that victims should not fear deportation if they reported a crime.

According to JSO, the local Mexican community had threatened to seek out MS-13 for protection. Thankfully, victims did come forward, and MS-13 and its brutal brand of justice never surfaced in the River City.

According to JSO, this is still true today. In fact, it says there is no real gang activity in Jacksonville at all.

MS-13 justice and protectors? Give me a damn break! Who wrote this crack!?!?

I don't buy this for a second. Jacksonville has a history of corrupt politicians, and no telling what is going on here with 2006 elections coming up, ties with Jeb Bush, maybe also to help make President Bush look good. It has been in the past, pretty Republican.

I smell a skunk. Something about this is very falsifying. For one thing, friends of mine who live there tell me the illegal alien situation is SHOCKING. I've been told that the residents there are extremely upset and disturbed, thus maybe this "reassuring measure" has been given.

Don't believe this. MAYBE they have not uncovered a large number of MS-13 there, but some are there. and the illegals are definitely there.

I called one of my best friends. She lives there and I hadn't talked to her in a year and 1/2. It was 7 months ago. The purpose of my call was to tell her about illegal immigration. When I called her, I said, "I called you because I wanted to talk to you you about something." She said, "I've been meaning to call you too, because I wanted to talk to you about something." I said, "Really, what did you want to tell me ?" She said, "I wanted to tell you about what is going on here, with illegal aliens." I nearly dropped the phone, and when I told her that was also the purpose of my call, she was so surprised !!

Can you believe, we live 300 miles apart, and hadn't talked in over a year and we BOTH felt we needed to talk to each other about an invasion which is taking place in our towns and cities ? If that doesn't sum up what people are thinking in this country, I don't know what does. She praised the Minutemen and Tom Tancredo and said she is contributing to both of them. I think I should give her a Minuteman Thanksgiving call.

Another coincidence or the TRUTH? I didn't see William's, and he didn't read mine before we both posted. We must have posted at the same time.

And look at what we both said! SOME COINCIDENCE.

IF THE ILLEGALS ARE RUN OUT OF TOWN...MS-13 WON'T HAVE ANYONE TO "SHAKEDOWN" AND DECAPITATE. RIGHT?

MS-13 IS JUST A SYMPTOM OF THE LARGER ISSUE---ILLEGAL ALIENS BREAKING US LAW, AND CREATING RIFE "MARKETS" FOR CRIMINAL ACTIVITY....EXTORTION, IDENTITY THEFT, MURDER, ROBBERY, ASSULTS, ETC., ETC.

This is a very politically motivated article, AND misinformation to the people and totally misleading.

This is bad news for people in north Florida and the American people all over the country. This type of thing has to stop.

It's getting to the point where we can't believe the government officials or the press.

You have to go to the internet to find the truth today. Will they stop that?

First of all El Salvador is not in South America. Second MS 13 is just a name for hoodlums from CENTRAL America to be in touch with each other. I can see the press going to a street corner and asking "are you the South American gang" and getting no. Even if MS 13 were not there can the same be said of its candidates for new members.

Look at how they "presented" this. As if MS-13 were like "protectors" instead of the deadly and dangerous organized group that they are!!

Look at how the final message is that the police will protect the illegals...no need to fear deportation.

Only in Amerika, only under George W. Bush.

No mention about "protection" of the legal American citizens of this country.

JACKSONVILLE, you've got some work to do!! You may be the only part of the state to be spared by hurricanes lately, but from the looks of things, Jacksonville is looking like a disaster area in other ways.
DEMAND THE TRUTH. TELL THEM YOU WON'T TOLERATE THIS! WAKE UP BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE !!
