Tonight, all eyes on Gen. David Petraeus before his report to
Congress on Iraq next week. Petraeus has hinted that he will
call for a troop cut early next year. But the cut, if it comes,
may be largely symbolic—a few thousand of the more than 160,000
stationed there. And while some critics say Republicans are
cooking the books, Democrats seem to have retreated from taking
any kind of stance at all. What’s going on? We’ll bring you the
latest on the Iraq debate and the possibility of a troop
reduction.

A year-long cross border trucking project has received the
green light from the Department of Transportation, despite
objections by Congress and the American public. The DOT
administrator heading the program said this “project will
protect public safely on American highways.â€
