    Arpaio's Crime Sweep Ends in 71 Arrests

    PHOENIX - A FOX follow up – the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office launched its latest crime sweep this week, and final arrest numbers were released Saturday.

    MCSO said it made 71 arrests during the two operations on Thursday and Friday.

    Six of the people arrested were suspected of being illegal immigrants, MCSO said.

    This was Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s 17th crime sweep.
