I was going to let the uproar over the Arizona immigration law fizzle out. No sense in beating a dead horse, right? Well, apparently the horse is still alive and kicking, and now I'm angry. I'm angry at a pop singer named Shakira. For the past week she has been campaigning and rabble rousing against the immigration law; meanwhile my skin is turning green and my muscles have tripled in size. Shakira, Shakira, you won't like me when I'm angry.

First off, Shakira isn't even a U.S. citizen, so I'm not sure why anyone would listen to her nonsensical outrage. I suppose where there's a celebutard, there's a following. And second, I'd appreciate it if she'd have a little more respect for the country that made her relevant. Without her crossover albums, we'd all be saying, "Sha-who?" Nevertheless, she, along with other boneheaded "make love not war" crazies, feels this immigration reform is inhumane and violates the rights of undocumented, hard-working Latino families. Please, Shakira, explain what their rights are. The right to break the laws of this country? I'm pretty sure Columbia (where she's from) has strict immigration laws – so who is she to protest ours? Arizona is simply enforcing regulations because our federal government is too liberal and too weak to do so themselves. It's difficult to take a stand when you don't have a backbone.

Name one prosperous country right now that would let me thrive without question or documentation. If you believe that I'd be able to climb over a fence into Canada or Mexico and be greeted by anything but hostility, then you need to bury your head further into the sand because you're opinion is worthless. Without documentation, I'd be deported. That is, if I weren't robbed and beaten before being sent on my merry way. The last time I was in London they wouldn't let me in until I showed them my hotel reservation, and my return ticket! But I didn't throw my arms in the air and call them racist. We can't turn our back on a problem because we're afraid of hurting someone's feelings. There is such a thing as too much PC. Shakira needs to take the flower out of her hair and get real. Illegal immigrants don't respect our laws, and they don't respect us – so how are we the bad guys?

Shakira also explained that Hispanic families are "frightened" by this law. Well, Shakira, it's been my experience growing up that if you have nothing to hide, you don't need to be afraid. Her heart goes out to criminals, but does not weep for Americans who have been victimized at the hands of these people. As I've said before, I don't think all illegal aliens are violent criminals, but they are criminals and should be treated as such.

The "She Wolf" said during CNN's "360" interview that the chief of police in Phoenix was "worried about the level of abuse that will be inflicted on Latino families with or without documentation." I'd like for him to define "abuse." The law doesn't encourage abuse in any form. So, if the chief of police is so concerned, perhaps the problem lies with him and his crew. If they are incapable of following the non-violent law, I think it's time to clean house. Shakira also pointed out that if the law were in effect that day during the interview, she could be detained and held somewhere because she didn't bring her papers to Arizona. Hmm, sounds like she's blaming this law for her forgetfulness. If I forget my driver's license at home while driving in Arizona and was pulled over for speeding, I could be detained, too. The officer might think I'm Canadian, Russian or Hungarian. I wouldn't blame thegovernment for protecting its borders; I'd first blame myself for being careless with my driver's license. How hard is it to carry around your ID? It's not brain surgery. Then I'd blame illegal aliens. If it weren't for them, we wouldn't need laws like this.

Don't be misled by the leftist flower children; people won't be detained or stopped in the street because of their skin color. It won't be like "Born in East L.A." where the Border Patrol finds Cheech (an American citizen) and deports him to Mexico because he couldn't answer a couple of questions on the spot. Immigrants need to be responsible with their documents, Shakira; it's not the officer's fault you left yours at home. And because you're not a legal U.S. citizen, the officer would be well within his or her right to detain you.

Another senseless comment Shakira made: "I'm not an expert on the Constitution, but I know the Constitution exists for a reason. It exists to protect human beings, to protect the rights of people living in a nation with or without documents. We're talking about human beings here." Here's a little U.S. history for you, Shakira: The Constitution exists to protect United States citizens, not illegal aliens. And FYI, don't bring up a historical document like the Constitution if you're not sure what it is. It makes you seem even more ignorant and disrespectful toward a country that has been more than accommodating to your pop-tart dreams.

I know what you're thinking, and don't delude yourself into believing it's a legitimate argument – "We're all illegal immigrants, this land belongs to this or that." Don't even go there. These borders have been in place long enough for people to understand where the U.S. ends and Canada and Mexico begin. If anyone wants their territory "back," then they need to declare war instead of sneaking into this country. The opposition needs to put their sympathy where it belongs, with the United States. Here's my dose of honesty for this honorary celebutard: Next time you want your voice to be heard, try saving the whales and leave complicated U.S. immigration reform to qualified U.S. citizens.

She is exactly right on the constitution, it is written protection for U.S. Citizens and Legal Residence ( people who have permission to be here).

And the Laws and policys that affect the United States Citizens should be their decision alone.

That's easy to define abuse according to these illegal invader huggers. Abuse is defined as being deported to your rightful country of citizenship or orgin when it's determined you have entered this country in violation of our immigration laws!
