Immigration deports Uruguayan convict.
Herald Staff Report
Immigration officials shipped a Uruguayan national back to his home country this week after his conviction on conspiracy charges.

Rodolfo Wanseele Paciello, 43, was convicted in December 2008 for conspiracy to act in the United States as an agent of a foreign government without consent of authorities.

Wanseele entered the United States in 2007 through Miami using a nonimmigrant H1B visa. He became involved in a plot to conceal the Venezuelan government's attempt to contribute $800,000 in cash to the political campaign of Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner, now president of Argentina.

He was sentenced to 36 months in prison. He was released into federal immigration custody and ordered removed from the United States to Uruguay on April 29.

His flight left from Miami International Airport on Monday and arrived in Montevideo, Uruguay, on Tuesday.
