GOP leaders pick sides in Idaho

Putting this in News Stories to make sure SOSAD and Tinybob etc. see it. I don't know how good or bad Minnick is on illegal immigration, but note Ward' s position posted below:

    The Hill's Blog Briefing Room

GOP leaders pick sides in Idaho
By Aaron Blake - 11/23/09 12:09 PM ET

Republican leadership is lining up behind Iraq veteran Vaughn Ward in the race against Rep. Walt Minnick (D-Idaho).

House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio), Whip Eric Cantor (R-Va.), Chief Deputy Whip Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), NRCC Chairman Pete Sessions (R-Texas) and Deputy NRCC Chairman Greg Walden (R-Ore.) will all headline a fundraiser for Ward on Dec. 8 in Washington.

With state Rep. Raul Labrador's recent entry into the primary and the looming prospect of former Rep. Bill Sali (R-Idaho) getting in, Republican leaders are asserting their preference in the primary.

In addition to the five mentioned, nine other members of Congress are also listed on the invitation. They include the state's other congressman, Rep. Mike Simpson (R-Idaho), as well as Reps. Joe Wilson (R-S.C.), Tom Rooney (R-Fla.) and Denny Rehberg (R-Mont.).

The price tag for hosts is $1,000 per PAC and $500 for individuals. To attend is $500 per PAC and $250 per person.

From Vaughn Ward's campaign website (my bold below):
    ---

    Immigration:

A country that doesn't control its borders doesn't control its own destiny. That's why any immigration reform plan must, first and foremost, protect and secure our borders. I am opposed to amnesty and any so called "pathway to citizenship" for individuals who enter this country illegally. The immigration system that we have today is broken, and we need thoughtful, common sense reforms that do not reward those who break our laws.

This is wonderful! A great idea. France and Australia are smart about immigration too. USA???
I could only WISH our country did it..... they won't.
It makes me sad that we divide more and more under Obama , who semms racist against Whites and Jews.
With our ignorant political correctness we will get worse WAY before we get better. You see our government DOES NOT learn by it's mistakes.

    Thanks Populist for posting......

Tiny met Ward at a party at our state Senator Mike Jorgensons house, Palins father was with him and is supporting him...Tiny really likes him so sure I will too.

So far Minnick has voted the way we wanted him too, and I don't trust either party but I don't trust Democarts more Guess we will find out when CIR comes up.

Sali does not have a snow balls chance in hell to get back in, i don't know why he is bothering.

Yes, I did meet Vaughn Ward and had a lengthy conversation with him. He is a very nice man (and cute, too ) and is definitely against illegal immigration. He said the first thing illegal aliens did wrong was to cross our border without permission, and that was enough for him to deny any kind of legalization. I really believe he would be good for Idaho and make a good U.S. Representative.
RIP TinybobIdaho -- May God smile upon you in his domain forevermore.
