Calexico, Calif. - U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to Calexico Station apprehended a 50-year-old male, Mexican national, attempting to enter the United States illegally near Calexico, California.On July 6, 1989, the Los Angeles Superior Court had convicted the subject of PC-Murder Second Degree and sentenced him to an eight-year prison term. Nogales, Ariz. - A female Mexican national was apprehended yesterday after Customs and Border Protection officers at the Mariposa Port discovered the she was in possession of animal tranquilizers often used in the commission of sexual assaults. Officers referred Josefina Irene Dominguez, 51, for additional questioning and a vehicle search when she attempted to enter the United States. (more)

CBP Officers in Southern Arizona Seize More Than 30 Pounds of Cocaine

San Luis, Ariz. - A Mexican national was arrested Monday morning for attempting to smuggle $275,000 worth of cocaine into the United States. Customs and Border Protection officers referred Nestor Martinez-Noriega, 52, of San Luis, Rio Colorado, Sonora, Mexico, for additional inspection of his Dodge truck. (more)

CBP Officers at the Calexico Downtown Port Intercept $450,000 in U.S. Currency Bound for Mexico

Calexico, Calif. - U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Calexico downtown port of entry yesterday intercepted $450,000 in unreported U.S. currency. The incident occurred at about 4:00 p.m. on Monday, October 22, when officers conducting outbound inspections referred a green 2002 Acura MDX for further examination. (more)
