    Impending National Boycott of Georgia

A national network of organizations instrumental in coordinating the boycott in Arizona after controversial anti-immigrant legislation passed there in 2009 has sent a letter to Governor Deal of Georgia “notifying [him] of efforts underway to organize a national boycott of Georgia, in the event that Georgia’s Arizona copycat legislation—HB 87 and SB 40—should become law. “

The National Day Laborers Organizing Network (NDLON) and The Turning the Tide campaign sent the letter via facsimile early this morning. B. Loewe, a spokesperson for the organization, said “We are currently prepared to contact all conventions, organizations, companies, cities, counties, and states that participated in the Arizona boycott to advise them of the current status of Georgia’s legislation and tell them to be ready to change plans, divest, and/or issue travel alerts to avoid the state of Georgia.â€

Blackmail? Thuggery from groups of people and organizations from other states that support illegal foreign nationals. Many from New York and California. I am sure the Governor of Georgia will be scared into submission.

I'll bet the fine citizens of Georgia hope that illegals boycott them forever, including in the welfare line.

efforts by Georgia’s Republicans to drive immigrants out of the state.
    And

These businesses in particular will suffer economically if immigrant communities and people of color are driven out.
It is amazing how these propagandistic commie traitors continue to spew the same old nonsense year after year.

It is ILLEGAL ALIENS, not immigrants you bunch of mealy mouthed twits!

Georgia please do what you have to do! Take back the rule of law. Americans need to take back our language and demand honest reporting as opposed to this PC garbage!

Hey ILLEGAL ALIENS, pack your bags and LEAVE, and please take these PC commie bretheren of yours with you!

How many of those groups are not Hispanic groups peddling "Nueva Hispania"?

Some Hispanic leaders are really truly emboldened with the rising number of Hispanics in the US and are seeking to create a country within our country. This will end in tears.
These people are truly flexing demographic hegemony muscles!

Deport all Illegals now! Deny special Spanish language assistance and declare ENGLISH our national/official language. Stop this nonsense and send the message to all these Latin Americans, "no you may not!" and go home. Mandate that all foreign language broadcast TV, radios etc have assimilation/English programs. Enough!

NewMexican Wonder why PETA and the ACLU isn't on the list too?

Georgia and every other state in the union will be just fine without the illegal labor. With the job market as it is there are plenty of LEGAL workers who are willing to get a paycheck and work int he vacated jobs.

[quote]Referring to the recent New York Times report that Arizona had, less than six months after passage of the controversial HB1070, lost $45 million in convention revenue and stands to lose upwards of $750 million overall, Paulina Hernandez, co-Director of Southerners on New Ground said “A boycott will undoubtedly hurt the state of Georgia as it did the state of Arizona and our Governor will be squarely to blame if he does not do the right thing and commit to vetoing these anti-immigrant bills.â€
