Two Arrested for Human Trafficking

LAREDO, Tx.- Hidden under some blankets in a mini van, two undocumented women tried to by pass Border Patrol offiicials but were busted.

Migratory agents sent a vehicle to be inspected that arrived at a booth on interestate 35, located on mile 29 in north Laredo.

The unit was driven by Andrés Carrizales, a resident from Ubland, Texas, who was accompanied by a woman identified as Carolina Vela, residing in Laredo.

According to reports, when asked about the trip, a trained canine gave alert towards the back of the vehicle. As the back doors were opened two mexican women were found.

They told authorities that they swam across the river and were transported to a safe house. They also mentioned that they were headed to San Antonio, Texas and they had paid 4,000 dollars.

Carrizales and Vela were arrested and charged with human trafficking.
