McCain, Kyl address AZ Chamber

Arizona Sens. Jon Kyl and John McCain told a business crowd in Scottsdale Monday union card and cap-and-trade legislation will not pass the Senate, and questioned the vitality of immigration reform without a directive from President Barack Obama.
The check-card legislation would make it easier for unions to organize, while cap-and-trade seeks to minimize carbon emissions among U.S. businesses.
Kyl, the Senate’s second ranking Republican, said much of the bipartisan agreement reached two years ago when Congress broached landmark immigration reform, has crumbled in the wake of the new administration and deep party line sentiment.
