Several illegal immigrants apprehended throughout area

DOUGLAS — A pair of illegal male immigrants from Mexico were found to have significant arrest records when apprehended by Douglas station Border Patrol agents over the weekend.

On Friday, an illegal immigrant in his 40s was found to have been arrested on charges of criminal sexual penetration in New Mexico, Border Patrol Tucson Sector spokeswoman Colleen Agle said Monday.

Sunday, another illegal immigrant, with no age given, was discovered to have a California arrest record over alleged lewd acts with a child, she said.

Friday, agents from the Naco station arrested two U.S citizens and two illegal immigrants from Mexico after discovering marijuana in a Naco, Ariz., area house, Agle said.

The U.S. men were in their 30s and 40s and the Mexican men also in their 30s and 40s. The 975 pounds of confiscated marijuana had a street value of $780,000, Agle said.

In other incidents, Nogales station agents arrested an illegal male immigrant in his 40s from Mexico on Sunday who had Pennsylvania arrest records alleging sexual assault, indecent assault and corruption of minors, the spokeswoman said.

In a Sunday arrest by Nogales station agents of an illegal male immigrant from Mexico who was in his 20s, it was discovered he had a California arrest record for rape by force and fear, lewd and lascivious acts with a child and sex with a minor, she said.

On Friday, Nogales Station agents responded to a 911 call with deputies from the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office and found an illegal male immigrant from Mexico who “claimed to have been abandoned by a smuggler after being injured,â€
