    Senator McCain's Basic Flaws

    Senator McCain's Basic Flaws
    Michael J. Gaynor
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After Mr. Levin noted that McCain is trying to recast himself as more conservative now that he is seeking the GOP presidential nomination, Senator Santorum frankly explained: “It’s amazing to hear what John McCain is trying to convince the voters he is all about. The bottom line is, I served 12 years with him, six years in the Senate as one of the leaders of the Senate, trying to put together the conservative agenda, and almost at every turn, on domestic policy, John McCain was not only against us, but leading the charge on the other side.â€

You know guys, I am absolutely astonished at the polls coming out of MI. that McCain is ahead slightly.

His speech this morning was the jobs are gone and not coming back. But he will take pork barrel spending out of Washington to help educate the people of MI to do other jobs.

When you look at the Republican candidates, McCain has been a Senator for approx. 30 years. Have you seen him sponsor any bills in the last couple of years that will help any Americans? The only bill I've seen him sponsor is to give amnesty to criminal immigrants who are robbing the people of MI of the only jobs that have left.

Am I missing something? How can people be so dumb and blind to fall for the BS express.

[quote]On May 18, 2007, during a meeting to negotiate immigration legislation, McCain swore at fellow Senator John Cornyn (R-Texas) after Cornyn expressed concerns about the number of appeals that illegal immigrants could receive. According to multiple sources, Cornyn told McCain, "Wait a second here. I've been sitting in here for all of these negotiations and you just parachute in here on the last day. You're out of line," to which McCain replied, "[Expletive] you! I know more about this than anyone else in the room."[199]

In his 1986 senate campaign, he referred to the Leisure World retirement community as "Seizure World", where "97 percent of the people vote and the other 3 percent are in intensive care,"[68] a joke whose offense he made worse, as he later conceded, when he did not forthrightly apologize for it.[68]

In 1998, McCain was chastised for making an off-color joke at a Republican fundraiser about President Clinton's daughter, Chelsea, saying "Why is Chelsea Clinton so ugly? Because her father is Janet Reno."[191] McCain later apologized to President Clinton and Clinton accepted his apology.[191]

McCain openly used the term "gook", in reference to his Vietnamese torturers during the Vietnam War, even since his return as a POW.[37] During the 2000 presidential campaign, he repeatedly refused to apologize for his continued use of the term, stating that he reserved its reference only to his captors.[192] Late in the primary season, with growing criticism from the Asian American community in the politically important state of California, McCain reversed his position, and vowed to no longer use the term in public.[193]

In March 2007, McCain apologized for using the term "tar baby" in response to a question in Cedar Falls, Iowa, about overturning divorce court decisions. Although he was not using the term in reference to African Americans, he agreed he was wrong to use a term that some view as having racist overtones.[194]

During a campaign appearance in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina on April 18, 2007, McCain was asked a question about possible military action against Iran. He responded by singing “Bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iranâ€

America needs a president who will nominate jurists with the competence to realize that Roe v. Wade was wrongly decided and the courage to overrule it as well as the awareness that the Constitution never was intended to prohibit government from acknowledging God and supporting religion generally.

    Thanks populist

Lindsay Gram is nothing but a wanna be CFR guy.
He thinks he is so smooth but he is the biggest joke you'll ever see.
I assure you that the majority of South Carolinians can't stand this guy.

I'll tell you how politicians like this get elected.
They get every big government offical, worker and school teacher to vote for them by promising more pay and job security. You do that and your in. You've got 30% of the population right there voting for guys like this. Its a numbers racket. This guy is cut from the same cloth as Gov. Mike Easly. Every policy he makes takes from the good people of the state and gives nothing back. Promise 20% something and you get the govco suckers in your back pocket, and then to top it off, you get the billion dollar school bonds passed the same way.

I say teachers shouldn't be able to vote on school bonds, they have an unfair interest in seeing them passed in the order of more funding and raises. Its clearly a conflict of interest.
Unless we get those criminals & make them pay for what they have done to our country and the lawlessness they have sponsored, we are just another Mexico ourselves!
