NC Immigration Rally w/video
By Hannah Ross
Published: August 16, 2008
U.S. Immigration raided Mills Manufacturing on Tuesday, arresting 57 workers they said are illegal immigrants. Immigration released 29 of the workers, saying they have to appear at a hearing. The rest are still behind bars. Rally organizers said they don’t agree with the raid.
One of the rally organizers, Alikhan Salehi, said, “We want ICE to know they’re not welcome here in Asheville. We want Asheville to be a sanctuary for immigrants. This country was built by immigrants, and unless you are a Native American, you are descended from immigrants.â€Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Funny, the video opened with an add for a South Carolina college. Wonder if they allow illegal aliens?

Anyone notice the guy with the black and red T-Shirt that has North, Central, and South America colored red with the caption "Stolen" over the entire Western Hemisphere?

[quote]UNCA student body president Nick Ladd said workers, like the ones arrested in the Mills Manufacturing raid, are necessary to support the economy. Ladd also spoke to the group at Pritchard Park.
“If every immigrant in this country just up and left today, like a lot of people would like them to do, then our economy would crumble,â€I stay current on Americans for Legal Immigration PAC's fight to Secure Our Border and Send Illegals Home via E-mail Alerts (CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP)

It is time to differentiate between IMMIGRATION and an INVASION!
When a person comes to the United States for a betterlife and a dream of making it happen and abiding by her laws to accomplish it is immigration. When they go through the processes of becoming an American that is immigration.
Invasion is when they break laws to get here and will even go as far as paying money to break the laws (human trafficing). When there is DRUG SMUGGLING, and HUMAN TRAFFICKING, and GUN RUNNING that is an INVASION!
And if you are invading my country then you need to be dealt with!
When some of these people lose their jobs then they will be the ones to holler about it. We need to start protecting the job base now."When you have knowledge, you have a responsibility to do better"_ Paula Johnson
