ROGERS -- Police say a Rogers man lied about his identity to get a job and then lied about his age to have sex.

Elidyn Ludvin Martinez-Reyes, 27, 1101 W. Olive St. in Rogers was arrested by officers with the Rogers Police Department in connection with a felony revocation of a suspended sentence or probation and felony charges of financial identity fraud and fourth-degree sexual assault.

Officers went to the Rancho-O-Tel Motel, 1805 S. Eighth St. in Rogers, looking for Jose Lopez-Villa, who was supposed to be at the hotel. Officers were looking for Lopez-Villa because he may have had a warrant out of California, according to a report provided by Michael Johnson, Rogers Police public information officer.

While officers were waiting at the door of one room, Martinez-Reyes and a young girl walked out of an adjoining room. The girl fit the description of someone who was supposed to be with Lopez-Villa, so officers approached the couple, the report states.

The girl was 15 and said Martinez-Reyes told her he was 18, according to the report. The girl admitted that she and Martinez-Reyes had gone to the motel to have sex, which they did. They were leaving when the officers began questioning them.

Martinez-Reyes at first denied the sex allegation, but later admitted to it, according to the report.

Martinez-Reyes denied being Lopez-Villa and provided a passport and identification card stating he was Martinez-Reyes, the report states.

Police say Martinez-Reyes later admitted to the officers that he used the name Lopez-Villa when he worked at Peterson Farms in Decatur. He told officers he now did construction work in Rogers, the report states.

Martinez-Reyes' prints came back belonging to Alejandro Martinez, according to the report.

The Benton County Sheriff's Office also had a warrant out for Martinez, the report states.

Martinez-Reyes was being held Monday in the Benton County Jail in lieu of a $35,000 bond.
