Spanish Fork • As Milton Salazar-Gomez was driving to work in early August, he saw red and blue lights in his rear-view mirror and pulled over.

He handed the Utah County sheriff’s deputy his driving privilege card after the deputy told him that his car’s registration had expired.

An Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent working with the deputy saw a star tattoo on Salazar-Gomez’s wrist, examined it and asked if he was in the country illegally. Salazar-Gomez said yes. Then they took him to jail, accusing him of being in a gang, Salazar-Gomez said.

“I’m not in a gang; I don’t hang out with those kinds of people,â€

1) he's here illegally
2) he holds a job
3) his permit on his car had expired

Those are enough reasons to deport him for me!

The laws states clearly that being in this country illegally IS A CRIME , The penalty is DEPORTATION

In effect their new "standards" have granted 99% of all illegals amnesty

YES THEY ARE VALID. THOSE DEPORTED ARE ILLEGAL ALIENS. AND YOU IMMIGRATIONA ATTORNEYS, INSTEAD OF WORKING FOR ILLEGAL ALIENS, YOU MUST WORK FOR PEOPLE WHO RESIDE HERE LEGALLY.

Exactly right! There is an amnesty by defacto going on, spearheaded by the continued selective enforcement of our immigration laws. They are being egged on by every open border, pro-illegal group in this country, with a mission to create the perception and the reality in the minds of Americans that simply being in this country illegally should not warrant deportation.

ICE validates this new standard every time they assert they are going to direct their focus on removing criminal illegal invaders. This is the new standard and it's a standard that's being embraced by our president, as well as those who head this agency.

Lawmakers are on their summer break and busy campaigning so what a great time to change policies and to give defacto Amnesty to most IA's.

When our Congress returns we need to do a massive call/fax initiative so they know we are mad as hell and want some answers to why DHS is getting away with not enforcing our Immigration laws.
