    Sep 28, 2007

    • A Carpentersville man was accused Wednesday of using false identification and might be deported, police said. Cesar Duran, also known as Arnold Zuniga, 30, of 11 Hickory Drive, was charged with forgery and obstruction of justice, police said. Duran reportedly bought a false birth certificate in Carpentersville five years ago for $1,500, and also has been using a false Social Security number, officials said. Immigration and Customs Enforcement placed a hold on Duran, who was being held in the Kane County jail on $5,000 bond. Kane County Judge Susan Clancy Boles told Duran that since he is not a U.S. citizen, he could be deported if he is convicted of either charge. His court date is Oct. 11 at the Kane County Judicial Center.

    • A Carpentersville man was arrested late Wednesday on a warrant, police said. Miguel Munoz-Garcia, 27, of 145 Austin Ave., was charged on the warrant with drunken driving, police said. Munoz-Garcia was being held in the Kane County jail on $1,500 bond with an Oct. 11 court date at the Kane County Judicial Center.

I never understood why there is a bail set for these criminal invaders, if there was ever a definition of "flight risk" they would be it...
